Support Over Silence

On Demand

Description:

Have you ever seen a caregiver or child struggling in public and didn’t know what to do? Support Over Silence empowers bystanders to support families during a challenging moment. This evidence-based program is grounded in the latest findings from neuroscience and focuses on empathy, not judgment or shame.

This program is supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under grant number UB6HP31688 “Public Health Training Centers Program.”

Objectives:
After attending the webinar, participants will:
-understand the scope of child abuse and neglect as a problem
-describe the Support Over Silence program
-identify strategies to support parents and children struggling in public
