Course Description
This course is provided by Region 6 South Central Public Health Training Center and will require a secondary login and/or registration.
This course describes the biological processes underlying the most important causes of morbidity and mortality in the U.S. and connects these with community disease prevention/health promotion strategies. It includes review of health problems and the physiology and pathophysiology of the organ systems involved, individual- and population-level causes and behavioral determinants of disease, the patterns of disease occurrence in populations, and individual- and community-level strategies for prevention.
